Makeup for Sensitive, Chronic skin: My Personal Beauty Routine
Living with chronic illness and loving makeup? It possible
If you're like me, there are days when getting out of bed is an achievement — never mind blending a full glam look! I live with fibromyalgia, and my skin (and energy!) can be unpredictable. But beauty has always been a part of who I am.
That's why I created VP Boutique—a clean beauty brand designed for real people with sensitive skin, chronic health conditions, and a passion for creativity.
Today, I'm sharing my actual makeup routine -the one i use on daily basic. I want to feel more myself
Step 1 Gentle Skin Prep
- Hydrating serum or mist
- Moisturizer is a must
- I keep my skincare light and soothing
- Fragrance free cleaner
On flare days, even rubbing in products can feel like sand or to much. So i sometimes mist everything on and gentle pressed it in with a soft cloth. Sometime skip makeup
- Step 2 Clean comfortable Coverage
- Heavy foundation is sometime to much?
- Do what best for you with foundation. Everyone is different. I have found that makeup prep makes a big difference.
- Color that lifts my mood.
- On my hardest days I reach for a palette because makeup make joy
- I like a lot of bold shades with a touch of some nudes and to top it off must always us duochome or shift
- always add some color to lower lash. Don't forget lash to complete your look.
No look is complete without a bold lipstick. Add some setting spray to blend everything together and lock it in.
Real Talk : It not about perfection.
- Living with chronic illness means listening to your body. Some days, makeup is too much and that's okay. Other day's it's just part of how we reclaim ourselves
- My mission with VP Boutique is create clean beauty that meets you where you are, Whether your rocking full glam or just want a hint of shimmer on hard day,
With love,
